Meet Athena
Athena has been studying and practicing alternative healing techniques for 15 years. A gifted intuitive and passionate healer, Athena recently left her job as a corporate executive to offer her healing services full time. Her modalities include Matrix Energetics, Ro-Hun energetic psychotherapy, Healing Touch, clinical hypnotherapy, and past life regression. Athena also employs techniques gifted to her by the Divine and her Guides and infuses intuitive wisdom and understanding into each session and modality.
Athena’s Story
As a young girl, Athena experienced a number of miracles and intuitive “aha” moments. She was a contemplative child who spent a lot of time imagining God, studying the cosmos and pondering the question of infinity. However, like most people, real life came hard and fast and Athena spent many years alone raising a beautiful daughter and building a career. As 40 approached, Athena prayed constantly for God to give her insights on what life really meant and to show her the path to her true purpose. God answered her prayer and with many guideposts, mentors and friends lighting her way, Athena’s intuitive abilities grew exponentially, until one day she found herself in a Healing Touch Level 1 class at Sentara Obici. From the moment she felt the astounding beauty in feeling the energy of another human being, and learned the first technique to gently move that energy to create healing and flow, she knew she had found her vocation. There is no greater gift and no experience more humbling that being trusted to work with another person to facilitate healing.
Forward 15 years, and a divinely orchestrated marriage to a wonderful man and soul mate, the addition of two incredible bonus children, dozens of classes, workshops, seminars and lectures, along with thousands of hours of meditation, practice and prayers, and Athena is ready to share her gifts full time, for the greatest and highest good of all concerned. Her constant petition to God is to “direct [my] words and order [my] steps”. Through the experience of her own challenging life, and through Divine Guidance, Athena has come to a peace and understanding that all sentient beings, all cultures, all religions, and all races are equally and totally loved, supported and cherished by God and it is the will of the Divine that no one should suffer. It is with this profound understanding and deep faith that Athena approches every person that comes to her for healing.
